Arizona's (and beyond) HOTTEST Blues band, featuring the very best in Blues, Swing, Roots-Rock & Rockabilly, and Blues-Rock The Top Cats have been a Valley favorite for almost ten years. In that time we have produced two CD's which are currently getting considerable air play in Europe and we have established a reputation that has gained us some high profile engagements in Arizona. These engagements include regular appearances at the June Bug Blues Festival in Payson Arizona and the Globe Blues Festival sponsored by the Globe IBEW and the Tucson Blues Society, appearances at the Mesa Amphitheater sponsored by the Phoenix Blues Society, a position as a finalist in the Annual Blues Showdown in 2001 and 2004, also sponsored by the Phoenix Blues Society, engagements as the opening act for the Brian Setzer Band and the Brian Setzer Orchestra at the Celebrity Theater 2001 and 2002, an appearance at the 2002 New Year's Fiesta Bowl Block Party in Tempe and an opening slot for Canned Heat at Sun Station in Tucson AZ. The Top Cats also perform at regular engagements at local clubs and casinos including Pappadeaux's Sea Food Kitchen and 26th Street Blues in Phoenix, Skipper's Lounge in Glendale, Shenanigans' and CK's Tavern in Awahtukee, Gila River casinos at Wild Horse Pass and Lone Butte, Fort McDowell casino, Harrah's Ak Chin casino Cliff Castle casino and in various locations around Arizona including The Bird Cage in Prescott, the Sportsman's Chalet and Mogollon Steak House in Strawberry, The Landmark in Christopher Creek, and The Oxbow in Payson.This last year has seen the band garner some international recognition with our CD receiving airplay in Germany, Denmark, Norway, Croatia, The Czech Republic, and Brazil!! The Top Cats keep up a fairly busy schedule of appearances in clubs, restaurants and casinos throughout Arizona.
